Pomegranate's Pottery Art Show and Demonstration: join us on the lawn on Saturday, August 28 from 10-5. Renowned professional potters (who happen to be locals!) are setting up at Pomegranate for a show and demonstration. Buy directly from the artists, talk to them in person about their art, and try your hand at a potter's wheel (hint: if you've never done it before, it's much harder -- and more fun -- than you think!). We'll be serving refreshments during the show. Do stop by for this rare opportunity to meet and talk to the artists one on one.
Our featured artists are Linda Heisserman, Eleanor Murphey, and Steve Provence. All have shown at some of the top art shows across the country; we're so lucky to have them here! Here's just a little sample of their beautiful work:

Linda Heisserman earned her BFA in ceramics, weaving and glassblowing, but attributes her real learning to life's influences and the journey of a potter and mother. She lives and works in Bend, and at any given time, has dozens of ideas for new shapes and glazes bouncing around in her head.

Eleanor Murphey is a master potter and stoneware tile artist. She believes that an object should be aesthetically designed and a pleasure to look at, as well as performing a function. The style of her work, which she creates in her studio behind her Bend home, could be categorized as Contemporary Craftsman.
Steve Provence (work below) creates contemporary, functional ceramics that are designed for daily use and decorative settings. He moved to Bend five years ago to pursue his craft full time.
